Angels for Animals Tucson is a small, grassroots dog rescue and community outreach organization founded in December of 2009. Prompting our efforts was the immediate need to rescue and report abandoned, abused, and deceased dogs in the Los Reales Landfill area of Tucson, AZ (known officially as Summit and colloquially as Dogpatch). Since our formation, we have helped over 100 animals find better lives in their forever homes.
Today we continue to not only assist animals in need, but also educate the residents of Dogpatch and larger community on the proper care of their pets. Through informing residents about low-and no-cost spay and neuter programs, responsible pet ownership, and helping with discounted vaccinations and medical procedures, we hope to stop the cycle of unwanted animal pregnancy, abuse, neglect, sickness, and death that has taken place in this area for generations of dogs and humans alike.
